Sell Some Already

The husband, wonderful as he is, got me the Sims add-on ‚Open for Business‘, so now my Sims can stay at home all day and sell stuff in their front yard. They could sell things inside, too, but as of now I really don’t have a florishing business and I don’t want a bunch of […]

94 Years.

Monday evening my grandfather died. Now it happened. It’s strange. In a way I guess we’ve been waiting for it to happen. It was clear that he wouldn’t live a lot longer, so it surely wasn’t a surprise. Still, when my mother told me it came as a shock. I guess it always does. There’s […]

Plans

So, if I’m going back to school, I plan on taking at least beginner’s courses in at least three of the following languages: Portuguese, Dutch, Japanese, Swedish and some eastern european language (preferably Czech or Polish). Finnish is always an option, but it might be hard to find good language courses. I hope I can […]

Actually Quite Important Decisions

In case you were wondering if I am joking about thinking of going back to school to become a translator in any way… No, I’m not. The rest will be left for the husband and I to figure out.

Very Smart Career Choices. Or Not.

Since I decided I’d rather be a translator, I think a really good project would be to translate Amber Benson’s „Accursed – Ghosts of Albion“. As far as I know nobody has done that so far. Not that I really think that I will manage that, but it seems like a fun idea.

It’s Not Too Late to do This, Is It?

Everyone else has done it, Justine tagged me… so here goes. Four Jobs Youâ??ve Had In Your Life 1. Waitress. Twice. 2. Webdesigner. In the end the place went out of business before they could pay me. So I guess it’s okay I still have one of their webdesign books. 3. Giftwrapper at a bookshop. […]

I Think Weeks Do Evaporate

In case you were wondering: Yes, the husband is fine. As Kjersti confirmed, men do have the tendency to get lost in whatever they are doing, so that it takes them about twice as long as it would take under normal circumstances and naturally they always leave their cellphones at home, so the women can […]
