Okay, I uploaded the first batch of pictures on Flickr. Now go there and marvel at how beautiful it is down there. Because it is. Very.
For anyone who cares, these are the books that I’m taking to France:
Jasper Fforde: The Well of Lost Plots & Something Rotten (Part III and IV of the Thursday Next Series)
Christopher Paolini: Eldest
Janet Evanovich: One For the Money
Carlos Ruiz Zafon: The Shadow of the Wind
David Sedaris: Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim
Meg Cabot: Princess in Love
Anthony Bourdain: A Cook’s Tour
Conor Kostick: Epic
Neil Stephenson: Quicksilver
Ralf Isau: Das Netz der Schattenspiele
The husband takes a few more, but I guess I’m pretty much packed. I don’t think I will run out of things to read.
We’ll be on the road in less than 24 hours. Please excuse the recent lack of posts here. There’s been too much going on and too many nights when I went to bed a lot earlier than I usually do. Let’s hope it will all get better soon.
In less than week (about four and a half days actually) we’ll be on out way to France. You have no idea how happy I will be once we’re in the car and on the road.
Naturally there are lots of projects right now all of which have some sort of a deadline, so I’ll have to see how that works out. It has to, because Friday evening I WILL be in that car and we WILL be on our way south, passing through Luxemburg, Metz, Lyon, Grenoble until after 1,100 kilometers we will finally reach our destination.
Who wants a postcard?
Okay, so here there are… all the bento lunches I took the time to photograph so far.
Click on the pictures for a detailed information on flickr. I’m both too lazy and too tired to type it up again.
It doesn’t vary as much as I want it to, but now I always have healthy food at work and since the box is really small there’s no way I can stuff myself at lunch. Hee. Talk losing weight the fun, cute and healthy way.
The title says it all. Ever had one of these days which just really sucked?
Mine lasts for about a week now. If our vacation wasn’t so close ahead I wouldn’t know what to do.
Blame that for the lack of superhappy posts (or, in fact, any posts at all) lately. This job is trying to slowly drain my desire to have a life, and it’s doing a damn fine job.
There it is:
I think it’s even smaller than it appears here in the picture. It’s really small is what I’m trying to say.
If you just received a package with wonderful items from an online shop, do not (like NOT EVER) immediately go to said online shop and check out all the things they have there that you didn’t order. Yet.
Just don’t. Trust me on this.
(But they have little Hello Kitty mayonnaise cups.)
Shut up.
(Like I don’t have any mayonnaise cups at all.)
What part of shut up don’t you get?!?
(And cookbooks! Look! Japanese Cookbooks!)
Sigh … SHUT UP!
Okay. I’m done arguing with myself on my blog. What is this „sane“ thing everyone’s talking about again?
This week has been one of the worse ones so far. Somehow I just don’t like work right now, I’m constantly complaining, the weather changed from sunny and warm (well, hot actually) to gray, cold and wet, basically: It was just not my week.
Andreas, Winnie and I kept bitching about mostly everything in emails and via ICQ. Now there you have three software developers all in pretty bad moods. At least we understand each other and pretty much know what the other is bitching about and can totally relate. It does help.
And the just about a couple of minutes ago the husband called and told me a package has arrived. It’s my bento box! It’s finally here! Yay for that! Now my gloomy mood has changed to cheerful and happy in… well… let’s say… 2.7 seconds. Maybe less.
I will now be able to fill my pretty little box with pretty little food every day and have myself a moment of bliss at work. I can’t wait.
