As If They Knew Me

Go check out Pandora by the Music Genome Project. A friend of my mother’s recommended it and I was very sceptical at first, but it works and it is great and so much better than I expected. In short: I am thrilled! I wouldn’t know about Paula Kelley if it weren’t for Pandora.

Behold The Magical Voice Of German Auditioners

While talking to Ehle on AIM I managed to both cut and subtitle one of the more hilarious clips of the German Idol for her. I still am amazed at my film-editing skills. However, all this work shouldn’t be kept from all of you. It’s 30 MB for a one-minute clip, but I would say […]

The War At Home, Pt. 2

Today we installed our new radio/CD player in our car. Before we had only radio and tape deck and that just didn’t seem enough. Now we can listen to radio AND listen to CDs AND listen to MP3s AND plug in any MP3-player (including my iPod) when driving. As great as this is it also […]

A Tune From Nine Years Ago

Story #1: About nine years ago there was a song played on the radio that I really liked. I tried very hard to find out its name and the singer, but I failed. I just failed. Although I knew part of the lyrics and I think I even had it on tape somewhere, I just […]

Mostly because suddenly there were a lot of good German singers and bands. Where the hell did they come from? Why weren’t they there before? […]

Just My Usual Self-Absorbedness and The Average „Oh-My-God-Aren’t-I-Cool“

I just wanted to mention that I have songs sung in the following languages on my iPod (and therefore my computer): English, German, French, Italian, Spanish (only I think that’s just one from one of Caitlin’s mixes), Japanese, Icelandic and Estonian. Oh, and Welsh. I also have some Portuguese (namely Arto Lindsay) and one lonely […]

I Hear I’m Big In Japan

The above statement is actually more true than you might think. Fact is that I can look at my stats for my other homepage and for some weeks – and I’ve wrote about that before – one of my songs gets downloaded about 50 times on average for the last four weeks. I’ve traced it […]
