Because I Have Neither Shame Nor Truly Original Ideas

This is stolen from srah. But it’s not like it’s my fault that all the good ideas are taken already. Note: Somehow this post slipped into private mode. I don’t know how it happened, so just know that this was by accident and never intended. The Amazing 2007 Harry Potter Live Blogging Event at Here […]

So There.

If I can’t have the seventh Harry Potter in English on the weekend, at least I can have the first one in Polish. Not that I speak Polish, but still. I mean I’ve got the first Potter in Latin and it’s not like I really can read that either.

How Bad is it Then?

How wrong is it that when Cristina gets freaked out about how Burke has arranged his books using the Dewey Decimal System on Grey’s Anatomy I actually think: „Hey, what a great idea.“ I shouldn’t get my own library room. I’d probably go insane.

Multireading

I usually don’t read several books at the same time. I have one book that I read from start to finish and then when I’m done I switch to the next one. I do switch really fast, and I always have a potential next book on the nightstand waiting. Still, I read those books one […]

A Year in Review: The Book Stuff

10. John Haskell, American Purgatorio An American road trip, the search of a wife who disappeared, the one book that I literally couldn’t put down, so I stayed awake until really late at night to finish it. I’m still unsure what it was that gripped me so much. 9. Anthony Bourdain: A Cookâ??s Tour I […]

December Irony

Of course it so happens that I try to read one of the most thrilling books of the year at the end of the year when I have other plans every damn day. If I didn’t have to get ready to go to the opera (no, your eyes are fine, I’m actually going to the […]
