Irony Delivered by the German Postal Service

While I was out fetching one package from the post office (because the mailman apparently wouldn’t leave it with one of my neighbors like they used to do the last few times), presumably at the precise moment the clerk gave me the package, another (or the same?) mailman tried to deliver season 4 of Gilmore […]

A Classic Epiphany Moment

I suddenly felt old when I realized that I’m only five years younger than someone who’s thirty. I swear that only yesterday thirty was ages away. Or was that ten years ago?

Beware Of German Alias DVDs

I think Erin Dailey’s1 audio commentary is missing from my German Alias DVD box. Damn. Too late I remembered why I was so reluctant at first to get it. They fucking robbed me of Erin! Jerks. — 1She just re-styled her blog. Go see.

Our Christmas Plan Sucks

We just came back from tree hunting. Without a tree. Because we are stupid people who actually think that they will get a nice tree on the night before Christmas. Yeah, right. So, tonight I will set the alarm clock, and the first thing we’ll do tomorrow morning is drive back to all the places […]

People Are Stupid

I hate the German Idol. Especially when they vote off my favorite contestant before the real shows have even started and instead The Boy Who Can’t Sing To Save His Life is allowed to stay on the show. German TV viewers, you are stupid. All of you. And I’m not ashamed to admit that I […]

Goodbye to Wit and Creativity

I would love to amaze you with an incredibly witty and/or funny entry about something I did today. Yeah… forget it. All I can say is that I was not made for work. Or at least not for what I do now. I’m constantly bored and waiting for the day to be over. It’s not […]

Tragic Realization

I think I’m old. I mean after all, I’ve been here for a quarter of a century and it can’t be too long before kids will offer me their seat when I get on the bus. I’m just pretty sure about that, because for the last couple of weeks I have been wearing my glasses […]

For Your Own Good, Don’t Watch This

Wow, Charmed’s season eight started off with two terrificly horrible episodes. Why, for anybody’s sake, am I still watching this? Why can’t I stop? And, who the hell is Kaley Cuoco? And why do I have to watch her, too? And what’s with her lips? And the ridiculous tries to make this show seem like […]

If Only I Would Think Before I Buy

The good news is: I am the proud and – might I say – caring owner of a beautiful iPod. The bad news is: I can never again buy anything anymore. But I really thing it was worth it.
