I Didn’t Even Watch the Movies

Generally I love librarything. It’s fun, it’s easy, it even makes sense – kind of. But I have one minor problem with it, more precisely with my authorcloud.

See, it looks like I’m a huge Dan Brown/Stephen King fan. Which I’m not. I mean, I enjoyed Brown’s novel and I really really liked everything I have read by Stephen King so far, but I’m so far from being an avid fan, it’s not even funny. It’s true that I’ve read all of Brown’s books. Which isn’t so damn hard to do, since he’s only written four and they each take you about three days to get through. Stephen King, that’s different, but again I’m far from being a Stephen King reader.

Let’s see. What King books have I read?
Carrie? Nope.
It? Nope.
The Stand? Nope.
Needful Things? Nope.
Misery? Nope.
Anything else so popular they turned it into a movie? Nope.

I have read several short stories. I loved most of them, although they freaked me out. „The Mist“ still haunts me. Then I have read the first three books of the Dark Tower series, which were great as well.

The problem with the author cloud is that I read so much and try not to focus on certain authors for the whole broaden your horizon experience. So until now, having read four books of one author equals this author to appear in font size 9276 in my author cloud. Don’t believe it, people. It’s misleading.

But fun.
